Top 20 Finalists of the SDG Youth Essay Competition Announced

We are pleased to announce the top 20 finalists of the SDG Youth Essay Competition.

These brilliant students will battle for the coveted and prestigious top 5 spots of the 2019 SDG Youth Essay Competition by going through a second level test that will assess their understanding of the SDGs. This will be followed by an Awards Ceremony to honour the winners. The second level assessment and awards ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday August 28, 2019 at the MJ Grand Hotel, Accra. Due to capacity constraints, this event will be strictly by invitation.

All shortlisted students will receive a certificate of achievement. The first place winner receives GHS 5,000; the second place winner receives GHS 3,000; and the third place winner receives GHS 1,000. Two consoloation prizes of GHS 500 each will be awarded to the fourth and fifth place winners . Also, the top 5 winners will be inducted as SDG Youth Ambassadors. As SDG Youth Ambassadors, they will be expected to embark on awareness creation campaigns in their schools and communities.

The top 20 students were selected from 549 scripts received from 79 schools across the country. All other participants will receive their certificates of participation through their schools.
