SDG Youth Clubs formed in the Ashanti Region

The SDGs Youth Action Campaign team from YES-Ghana held forums on the Sustainable Development Goals in the Ashanti Region from 19 – 21st June 2017. The SDGs Youth Action Campaign is an initiative of YES-Ghana and supported by the UNDP office in Ghana. The Campaign seeks to revolutionise effective youth participation and demystify the development process for young people.  The formation of SDG Youth Clubs is one of the activities under the Youth Action Campaign, which stems from the need to create a strong foundation and grassroots base for the Campaign especially among youth in basic through higher education, and in local communities across Ghana. The Clubs will provide a platform for youth learning, organizing, engaging in discourse around localizing the SDGs, and appreciating their individual efforts in living the SDGs at an individual level.

The forums were held in the Sakafia Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi, Parkoso Senior High School in Asokore Mampong and Ejisuman Senior High School in Ejisu, all in the Ashanti Region.
