SDG YOUTH ESSAY COMPETITION TO BE HELD IN AUGUST

Are you a young person between ages 15 and 24? Then join the 2017 National Essay Competition on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDG Youth Essay Competition focuses on three (3) challenges facing your community or city and how the youth can contribute to addressing them. Pick up FREE entry notepads with full guidelines from the following:
  • Greater Accra Region – YES Ghana office, East Legon;
  • Ashanti Region – Luv FM, Kumasi
  • Brong Ahafo Region – Ark FM; Sunyani
  • Central Region – ATL FM, Cape Coast
  • Eastern Region – Bryt FM, Koforidua
  • Northern Region – 123 FM, Tamale
  • Upper East Region – Tanga Radio, Bolgatanga
  • Upper West Region – Sungmaale Radio, Wa
  • Volta Region – Global FM, Ho
  • Western Region – Radio Maxx, Takoradi
Essays should be handwritten by applicants on the customised notepads provided. In addition to the essay, make sure to include a photocopy of any of the following forms of identity to confirm your age (ie. Birth certificate, Voter’s ID, BECE or WASSCE certificate, Passport, Driver’s License and NHIS Card). Return the envelope to the pick up point by 25TH AUGUST, 2017.

  • The winner receives a cash prize of GHS 3000
  • Second place receives a cash prize of GHS 2000
  • Third place receives a cash prize of GHS 1000
  • Fourth place receives a cash prize of GHS 500

Essays will also be published on the website of YES-Ghana. All shortlisted applicants will also receive a certificate of achievement at a special ceremony later in the year. The exact date will be communicated.
