Pauline Watine, Project Manager – Big Idea

Pauline is responsible for implementing the Big Idea project in Ghana. The Big Idea, being launched in Ghana, Nepal and Tanzania is a multi-disciplinary approach to youth-led accountability, where young people will be skilled to use, analyze and generate data on key issues that affect their lives. This will allow them to take the lead in exercising accountability over their governments and particularly accountability over the Post 2015 agenda.

Pauline brings to YES-Ghana five years of expertise in international development.  Prior to joining YES-Ghana, she worked in Mali for different organisations including Oxfam America, Freedom from Hunger and myAgro, helping women, youth and small-scale farmers to access financial services. Pauline also worked in India for the International Labour Organization and contributed to the preparation and implementation of the first National Health Micro Insurance Scheme.

Pauline has an M.A. Sustainable International Development from Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University, USA. Prior to that, she obtained B.A. and M.A. degrees in International Relations and Economics from ‘Science Po Aix-en-Provence’ in France.
